Destination Moose

Thanks to Unindicted Co-conspirator #1 for today’s destination.

Moose Jaw, Sask, CA

Normally, WLBOTT stirs clear of international controversy, but this is a whole new category!

Moose Jaw, Canada, and Stor-Elvdal, Norway, have been in a hotly contested competition for the World’s Largest Moose Statue.

To give you a sense of the drama and passion involved in this dispute, a Canadian Broadcasting Company article offered this man-on-the-street interview:

Longtime Moose Jaw resident Ron Mitchell was on his way to get a haircut Tuesday when he stopped to see Mac. “I think it’s ridiculous,” Mitchell said.

Canadian Antler Update

Luckily, Canada and Norway solved the problem like grown-up countries and developed a “moosarandum of understanding.” [Although a fine article, it should be noted that the article has a moose-pun density of 8.7 puns/cm2].
