Thanks to Unindicted Co-conspirator #1 for today’s topic.
Esteemed members,
One of the suggestions for cleaning old coins that I found via google is to put the coin in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for a while. Of course, I didn’t want to try this out on a valuable coin, so I took the one with the smallest face value and tried it. Here are some after-and-before pictures.
It occurred to me that this might just be the perfect official WLBOTT currency. At first I thought that it might be the only one in existence but it actually shows up in Numista and there are some listed for sale on Ebay (still dirty). Anyway, just a thought.
If you are interested, the leftover cleaning fluid can be used as a garnish for fish or salads. Shouldn’t be any worse than the tap water in Flint, Michigan.
Q: How is the WLBOTT employee retirement plan like the above tokens?
A: No cash value.
Will there be a buffet? Glad you asked.
