Today we visit with the Elders of WLBOTT.
UC#1
UC#1 is considering a bicycle trip to Beaverlodge, AB.

UC#1 is also inventorying very large farm and construction equipment. May require moving a few things around in the garage.

But I digress. Back to the farm tractors. Many years ago I spent some of my summer helping a friend on the farm (same friend that has the 6 sided log gazebo). He was driving a Versatile 850 which was the biggest farm tractor available at that time. It had articulating power steering (which I don’t think was a reference to how well it could speak).
So, one spring he got started a bit too early and got the tractor bogged down in a mudhole, up to about ¾ tire level. It wouldn’t drive forward or back so he crabbed it out using the steering.
One other time my friend demonstrated his firearms ability. We were heading down the 1 mi long field with me bumping along in the back of the cab of the 850, towing 40’ of disc harrow and another 40’ of plow (or maybe it was in the other order). He put it on cruise, stepped out on the fender with his .22 and while the tractor was bumping up and down across the field, shot a seagull that was flying past at a range of about 40 or 50 yards. – UC#1

UC#1.b
Day 8 of the washing machine crisis (new intake valve on order), UC#1.b has had to resort to more traditional methods.
UC#1.b faces the challenge with good cheer.

Ladies and Gents: get your eye patches and parrots ready, we are approaching Talk Like a Pirate Day as Hurricane Lee skirts up the east coast.
Topical limerick:
There once was a pirate captain named Billy Bee His ship’s Timbers Shivered from Hurricane Lee ‘Aargh!’ yelled the First Mate, a Pastafarian ‘My life would be saved if I was a Unitarian’ But alas, the pirates’ ship was washed out to sea

There is a Texas attorney general Ken Paxton Who had a fling with younger Ms Olson Paxton helped a friend get out of trouble ‘cause the friend threatened to expose the couple But the cowardly Texas Senators voted for no expulsion
