Crescent Moon and Venus

While taking Sally the Intern to her IRL-money job this morning, just before sunrise, two completely opposite things occurred.

Firstly, there was a beautiful crescent moon, with Venus directly above it. Secondly, on the way home (about a mile’s drive), a guy zooms up with his brights on and aggressively rides my tail the whole way home.

Much to ponder. This ties in with a 30-episode Mainland Chinese show I’m watching (Three Body), where a group of scientists are simultaneously discovering the wonders and beauties of the universe while plotting the demise of humanity (and to be fair to the scientists, humanity deserves it).
