UC#3 had the opportunity to see Democracy in Action a few days ago, watching in person while Justice Thomas Clarence napped thru oral arguments in Cantero v. Bank of America.
Next to US Supreme Court is the Library of Congress. Some books are still not banned here. P.S. supreme justices have very cushy reclining chairs. I believe Justice Thomas as taking a nap during oral arguments.
No sign of Clarence’s RV, but in line for oral arguments.

He’s not “Sleeping”
What The Heck Is Clarence Thomas Doing In This Courtroom Sketch?
“He does give the appearance of being disengaged at times, but then he’ll sit up and lean forward as if he’s about to ask a question, which of course he rarely does,” Lien said. “I’ve sketched him both ways. I sketch what I see.” – Supreme Court sketch artist Arthur Lien (https://courtartist.com/)
Thomas, only the second African-American justice in US history, has gone for years at a stretch without asking a question, including a full decade, from 2006 to 2016. On the occasions his voice has been heard, it has often related to race but with a counterintuitive thrust, as occurred in the new dispute over a Mississippi prosecutor’s repeated elimination of blacks from a jury pool.
Justice Thomas has complained bitterly that he is not paid enough (Quarter Mil USD a year).
It is rumored that he and the other republican justices must work shifts in the various cafes located in the Supreme Court building. WLBOTT investigates.
And I am adamantly and morally opposed to the integration of fruit and protein – like the Hawaii 5-0 burger – a crime against humanity!!! I will request my burger sans pineapple – may be arrested.
