WLBOTT Ministry of Virtue and Vice: Wordy Dirds and an 8th grade sense of raunchy humor. Excellent!
Lots to say about this show: good CGI, quirky characters, bad good guys, good bad guys, murder mysteries, humility and arrogance, coming of age, flawed people that are able to grow during the course of the show. Laugh-out-loud surprises, horrific social anxiety cringes…. Fairly high Meaning-of-Life Index (MOLI) – 62%.
In a nutshell – it’s about friendship and the tolerance for the flaws of friends and strangers, moral dilemmas presented from an “alien” point of view, and getting by….
But look who shows up in Resident Alien as the general investigating weird stuff!
I had to stop the stream and verify my suspicion. Yes! It’s Sarah Connor!
Terminator
When you make the highest-grossing film of all time, you have to set your goals pretty high at the box office. Fortunately, Terminator 2 proved to be a huge hit. It made $520.9 million worldwide, finishing as the highest-grossing film of 1991. It’s also still the highest-grossing movie in Schwarzenegger’s career.
Terminator 2 was a critical and commercial success, grossing $519–520.9 million at the box office to become the highest-grossing film of 1991 worldwide and the third-highest-grossing film of its time. The film won several accolades, including Saturn, BAFTA, and Academy awards.
Sometimes Sarah Connor channels the IRL actress Linda Hamilton.
Early life
Hamilton was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on September 26, 1956. Hamilton’s father died when she was five, and her mother later married a police chief. Hamilton had an identical twin sister, Leslie Hamilton Freas (1956–2020), as well as one older sister, a younger brother and a stepbrother. She has said that she was raised in a “very boring, white Anglo-Saxon” household, and that she “voraciously read books” in her spare time. Hamilton went to Wicomico Junior High and Wicomico High School[1] in Salisbury.
She studied for two years at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, before moving on to acting studies in New York City. Hamilton has said that her acting professor at Washington College told her she had no hope of earning a living as an actress.
