Very cloudy day in Houston but had a few minutes of breakthrough which I shared in my driveway with Javier who does pool and lawns in our neighborhood . He was equipped with solar glasses.
There was a man named Javier who looked at the sunUC#3
He’s a hardworking man who is so proud of his son
He toils everyday to work on pools and lawns For people like me who are lazy pawns
But he celebrated the eclipse with me with a sense of fun

At the WLBOTT headquarters, the forecast was for clouds and rain, but through an enormous Citizens United bribe. we were able to acquire several minutes of unobscured eclipse viewing.
Although the eclipse was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience, the rapture didn’t really pan out.

Hi all,
Glad to see you are taking proper preparations. We had a fantastic view of the full eclipse, from right here in Devon, Ab, Canada. On the NASA YouTube channel. Really beautiful shots from Mazatlán and then on across the continent.
From the CBC and other networks we could see that there were big parties going on all along the path. Sounds like fun, I think I’ll plan to attend the next one.
[Spousal Unit] even got a glimpse of the partial eclipse during her book club meeting – one of the gals had the cardboard sunglasses. Wasn’t much to see from here, but at least she got a glimpse.
Happy eclipse day!

I never thought about what the next eclipse will do to my battery backup on my solar array. I guess I’ll have to add another NiCad D-cell to compensate for the 4 minutes of total blackout. Or perhaps just shut off the oven for the duration of the eclipse.
