In the 1920’s the WLBOTT executive committee formed an ad hoc task group to channel the energies of the peevish and disgruntled Elders. The task group was named the Cantankerati.
Never before revealed photos of early Cantankerati gatherings (known as the Algonquin Twine Table).
The task force moved in the shadows, using its WLBOTT mandate to discuss thermostat settings, mimes, Zoot suits, weather, the government, the economy, leftists, rightists, centrists, foreigners, locals, Easterners, Westerners, Southerners, Northerners, and a general category known simply as “these kids today….”.
Secrecy required enforcement and compliance with security protocols. The Cantankerati had a no-nonsense team of enforcers:
