Welcome to a new section of the blott, where we appreciate signs, street art, and places that we encounter while we’re out and about. Today’s post: THE MOST METAL SIGN IN ALL THE WORLD.
When I came across this sign (months ago, at this point) I thought: I have no idea what this store actually does, but it’s clearly the most badass place ever. Just look at it. How can something that THAT MANY different heavy-metal fonts be anything less than awesome?!?
This sign is just one of the many, many heavy metal signs you will see for the popular chain convenience store “El Jevi” (pronounced “the heavy”) across the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA). Here, such convenience stores, kwik-e-marts and what-have-you are called “kioskos”, and it’s clear from this other El Jevi location sign that El Jevi believes it is the alpha dominator of the Argentine kiosk market. This sign is on the kiosk’s side wall and is actually about twice as big as the store itself.
