Great staffing is critical to the success of any well run organization. This does not apply to Radio Free WLBOTT. However, Elder JA has enthusiastically offered his services.
I think this is a great idea. I would like to offer my services. Here is my relevant experience:
Sound, video recording, lighting tech, CBC Edmonton, summers 1968-71. First day on the job, miscalculated the momentum of the massive video cable connector as the cable was being wound onto a spool at the end of an outdoor shoot (picture a fireman winding up a fire hose) and let it slip through my hands, whereupon it clobbered my boss exactly between the eyes.
Pre 1967, built my own low power AM broadcast station and transmitted news and music from the dipole antenna in my back yard, until the final amp overheated and blew up.
Spent many hours in South Africa tuning in VOA, BBC, CBC and various other news services on shortwave.
Experience listening to domestic AM and FM broadcasts as well as the Holy Jesus Christ Broadcasts (HCJB) from South America on shortwave.
HCJB’s steerable “mixer-antenna” in Pifo, Ecuador. Probably not an atomic mushroom cloud in the background.
I could supply personal references but I expect they are all either dead, senile, and/or in county lockup.
WLBOTT HQ Responds
Elder JA, we are focused on staffing up Radio Free WLBOTT, and we’ve reviewed your recent resume submission.
We’ve also located some black and white archival photos of your time at Canadian radio station CHEC. Based on these photos alone, we’d like to offer you a positions at Radio Free WBLOTT (W-LBOTT). What job title / position would you consider? What are your salary requirements? Any special accommodations required on the off-shore platform where we will be broadcasting? Do you get nauseous easily?

And Elder JA’s Acceptance
Fellow WLBOTT’ers,
What an honour!
First, I would like to point out that in the 1970’s, Canada opened up a competition for the first Canadian astronauts. I applied and several months later received a letter telling me that I was one of 300 applicants who made it to the second round of selections, but don’t call us, we’ll call you. I never did hear from them again. But later on, I was talking to someone who knew something about the selection process and it appears that I wasn’t eliminated in the first round because I checked the box for “sea sickness”. One of the goals of the Canadian astronaut team was to study “space sickness” and they believed, at that time, that candidates such as me would be good test subjects.
Unfortunately, my lack of fighter pilot training was ultimately my downfall.
So, to address your questions:
Thank you for your kind consideration of my resume. I’ll expect proper ground-fault protection and other safeguards to be in place in the event that I am called upon to do service work (since I don’t expect we can afford any staff).

May I ask what the rotation schedule is for this assignment? And the mode of transportation for ingress/egress?
Elder JA
Q: May I ask what the rotation schedule is for this assignment? A: If you’re awake, you’re on duty.
Q: And the mode of transportation for ingress/egress? A: We will get you there in one piece. Still working on the details for egress. We expect all off-shore platform employees to be self-sufficient, and to be knowledgeable in fishing and salt water desalination techniques.
